About
Eonyou Shin is currently an Associate Professor at Virginia Tech. With her undergraduate degree in Fashion Marketing and Textile Design and MS and Ph.D. degrees in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design, she has been focusing on the use of information and innovative technologies in many areas of product development and apparel merchandising, ranging from textile design to online apparel retailing and consumer behavior.
Dr. Shin has led several research projects exploring apparel fit and comfort from the consumer's perspective and consumer-centered product development using advanced technologies such as virtual try-on models, 3D virtual fitting, and 3D body scanning. More recently, her research interests have expanded to consumer-generated content using text mining techniques and studies on consumer behavior in virtual, augmented, and metaverse environments. |
