About

Eonyou Shin is currently an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech. With her undergraduate degree in Fashion Marketing and Textile Design and MS and Ph.D. degrees in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design, she has been focusing on the use of information and innovative technologies in many areas of product development and apparel merchandising, ranging from textile design to online apparel retailing and consumer behavior. She has been involved in several research projects on exploring apparel fit and comfort from the consumer's perspective and studies of consumer-centered product development in using innovative technologies, such as, virtual try-on model,  3D virtual fitting and 3D body scanner.​ Recently, her research interest includes consumer-generated content using content analysis and text mining techniques.
